Frequently asked

Questions parents ask about Vocal Ensemble.

Always. Every program offers a trial class. Drop in, see if the class feels right, then decide. No commitment until you’re sure.

Yes—Vocal Ensemble is designed for all types of singers. There is no pressure to sing alone or “perform” individually. Everything is ensemble-based, so students sing together as a group and are gently supported at their own comfort level. Many shy singers thrive here because they feel safe, included, and part of something bigger without being singled out.

Yes—but in a relaxed, low-pressure way. Performances are casual and optional, and may happen in the studio or out in the community as a way to share the joy of music. Students never sing solos unless they choose to, and the focus is always on ensemble singing, listening, and making music together rather than individual spotlight moments.

Students are encouraged to sing at home throughout the week. Regular practice helps singers develop their ears and sing more confidently in tune. And practicing their own part helps singers maintain their line while others sing different parts.

Enrollment includes a repertoire binder that will grow along with them. The repertoire is a variety of music and will be theirs to keep.

We offer unlimited make-ups because we understand that life happens. With at least 6 hours’ notice, you’ll automatically receive a make-up credit that can be used to attend another class at a time that works for you.

Vocal Ensemble includes a 4-month commitment. Progress takes time. This gives students time to build friendships, confidence, and musical skills together in a consistent, supportive environment where students can truly grow as an ensemble.
